CHRISTMAS WREATH TRIO |
MATERIALS
- 3 Wreaths of the same diameter
- 1 spool of Aluminum Hobby Wire
- 1 to 2-30 ft. spools of ribbon (note two spools of ribbon are recommended if you plan on making a matching bow)
OPTIONAL MATERIALS
- Ornaments
- Lights
- Wreath Hanger
NOTE: You can start with pre-decorated wreaths which helps establish the look you have in mind or buy blank wreaths and decorate with bows, ornaments, and lights as you desire.
TOOLS
- Tape measure
- Pair of wire cutters
STEP 1
PREPARE THE WREATHS
Lay all three wreaths in a line and measure for equal spacing, face down onto your workspace
STEP 1A
JOIN THE WREATHS TOGETHER
Use the Hobby wire to join the three wreaths together for a more secure support by wrapping the wire tightly around the two adjoining wreaths to create the trio shape.
STEP 2
MEASURE THE RIBBONS
Next cut 2 ribbons to length. For small wreaths the length of each ribbon should be 32 to 36 inches. For larger wreaths the ribbon length should be 36 to 40 inches.
STEP 3
TIE THE RIBBONS
Next begin tying the ribbon to the wreaths. When tying the ribbon to the wreaths, loop the ribbons around and through the wreaths, pulling the ribbon from the back. Loop the top of the bottom wreath to the bottom of the middle wreath. Then loop the top of the middle wreath to the bottom of the top wreath.
STEP 4
SECURE THE RIBBONS TO THE WREATH
Tie a tight double knot and situate to be hidden behind the wreaths.
STEP 5
ADD A BOW
Create the bow of your choice or you can purchase a pre-made bow at your location Home Depot.
STEP 6
DECORATE
Decorate with lights and ornaments as desired.
STEP 7
HANGING THE WREATHS
Use the wreath hanger to attached the completed project to your door and you are all set.
